SMS Prefix Identifiers In India
The first 3 characters of each SMS delivered/terminated in India shall act as an identifier. The first character denotes the TSP (Telecom Service Provider) and the second character denotes the LSA (License Service Area) followed by a “-“ (hyphen). The sender id length in India shall be six (6) characters and shall be assigned to the Principal Entity.

AL-SMSBDY // Here AX stands for Airtel Kerala
BD-SMSBDY // Here BD stands for BSNL Delhi
